Yale Tomorrow Raises 3.88 of Them

The five-year Yale Tomorrow campaign that concluded on June 30 after raising $3.88 billion did absolutely nothing to interfere with Yale University’s enviable position as one of the two richest institutions of higher learning in the United States.
The numbers are dizzying:
- $857 raised in just the last 12 months…
- Ten gifts of at least $50 million each…
- A $100 million gift from Stephen and Denise Adams that means the Yale School of Music is now tuition-free…
- A $50 million donation from John C. Malone to endow 10 professorships in the Engineering faculty…
Yale ranks second only to Harvard in terms of endowment. Not too shabby. Congratulations to all those Yale fundraisers on a job well done.
Our admiration for their accomplishment has nothing to do with the fact that Yale is a client of ours, and that we created and maintain their planned giving web presence.
We just like to think we helped kick them up to that $3.88 billion mark…
