Low Score?

At least you know where to start.

The point of the Readiness Calculator is not to separate the weak from the strong. It’s to enable everyone to ramp up their operations to easily close more and larger planned gifts and establish legitimacy in their programs.

The number the Calculator gives you is not a final score. It’s a snapshot of where your organization is now in relation to where you want it to be.

What we’re going to do now is explain how to reach that goal. It’s a process. But it’s not rocket science, no matter what your initial Readiness Score happens to be. All you need is the determination to get into planned giving. (Motivation is something you have to work out for yourself! That shouldn’t be a roadblock.)

Remember: these Readiness numbers are only as accurate as your own self-reporting. And that low initial score can mean you’ve simply got higher standards for yourself and your organization.

So let’s look more closely at the original questions and answers — and how to get your program in gear.
