Why a New Logo?

Times are changing, and we need to look to the future. Our company has grown and matured over the years, and we wanted a way to reflect that growth visually.

What was special about our old logo?

Our previous logo, a tree, was meant to represent the very concept of planned giving: growth over time.

What is special about our new logo?

Our new logo retains the concept of a tree, reflecting growth, but we’ve incorporated it into a stylized “@” symbol. It’s a nod to the fact that we were the first to bring planned giving online, way back in 1998.

How did we come up with it?

Since we own the Top-Level Domain (TLD) PlannedGiving.Com, we decided we needed an icon to match. And just like a person updates their look in a way that defines who they are and what they represent, we wanted to update our company’s visual representation in the planned giving space to establish authority and trust.

We created a vision board that included logos from other organizations and vendors. Without getting into specifics, the general consensus was none of their logos had anything to do with planned giving. Our goal was to define the future and show how we help our clients successfully reach that future.

We’re confident our new logo will resonate even more with our community and friends at a glance—a must in our fast-paced, visually sophisticated society.  Especially when everyone is already using our name to promote planned giving.
